When we moved in our house a few years ago we used furniture we already had for our master bedroom, added a few new decorative accents and called it a day. Ever since then I felt like the room wasn’t quite complete but there were other projects and priorities that took precedence…until recently when I decided to figure out what was missing.
It is important to remember when you want to make a change in a space you don’t have to start from scratch. I like the colors and patterns in our bedroom and the furniture is in good condition. I just needed the finishing touches.
I never would have guessed that one of those finishing touches would be peacock sheets I stumbled upon while strolling through Target one day. The colors blended perfectly with everything in the room and I even snagged the set on sale…what more could I ask for? Once I had the sheets I was able to find a coordinating rug, also on sale. We ended up buying a new comforter as well but that wasn’t nearly as exciting compared to peacock sheets.
With just a few new items our bedroom now feels complete.

The peacock sheets (and rug) were the icing on our bedroom cake. If you have a space that doesn’t feel complete, be patient and you’ll find yours too.
